In Tanzania, a monumental project is underway—the construction of a railway line that will unite the eastern and western regions of the country. At the heart of this ambitious endeavor lies the Main Station Building in Dodoma, the nation's capital. Our company has had the privilege of undertaking the heavy steel, curtain wall, and interior aluminum works for this key station along the railway.
The unique form of the structure presented a fascinating challenge, requiring that 90% of the manufacturing be meticulously designed and produced in 3D. This high level of precision ensured that every component fit perfectly, creating a seamless and sturdy structure. Our team also took charge of all static designs, expertly crafting both the steel and aluminum elements to meet the project's demanding specifications.
In the canopy area, we applied 120-minute fire paint to the heavy steel construction works, enhancing the building's safety and durability. Beneath the GRC precast cladding on the facades, we assembled all the heavy and light steel elements and connection parts, ensuring a robust and reliable framework.
To give the facades a sleek and modern appearance, we used a special steel-fronted curtain wall system, which not only added to the building's aesthetic appeal but also provided excellent structural integrity. Additionally, we incorporated a skylight system over the steel structure, allowing natural light to flood into the interior, creating a bright and welcoming environment for travelers.
This project exemplifies our commitment to excellence and innovation, showcasing our ability to blend advanced engineering with architectural beauty.
